Our beautiful desert environment isn't just for show - get out and explore it! South Mountain Park/Preserve, whose 16,000 acres of hiking, biking and horseback trails make it the largest municipal park in the United States, is just one of the options for hikers and nature lovers. Those who know a great place to enjoy the great outdoors are drawn to the ruddy cliffs of Camelback Mountain, the pristine desert beauty in Estrella Mountain Regional Park and the mystery of the Superstition Mountains.

If "birdies" are your favorite form of wildlife, the Valley has more than 200 golf courses. Players of all skill levels will enjoy tracks that are as challenging as they are beautiful under nearly year-around sunny skies.

Spectator sports light up the landscape with the resurgent Arizona Cardinals NFL team, the rebuilding Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball, the resilient Arizona Coyotes of the National Hockey League and the NBA's Phoenix Suns (and its sister team, the WNBA's Mercury) delighting fans of all ages.
