2012 IMPACT Awards Nominations

For 25 years, the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce has honored the accomplishments of businesses and the impact they’ve made on the Greater Phoenix business community. The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce is looking for companies that have a strong footprint in the Valley that are deserving of special recognition.

WHY NOMINATE

Participating companies will receive recognition in:

• Phoenix Business Journal Print Ads
• Chamber Website
• Chamber Enewsletter
• Chamber Social Media Tools
• Printed and Electronic Invitations
• Possible interviews with Local Media

Apply for the category(s) that are applicable to your business. Nominees may apply for all four categories if appropriate. Two awards will be given for a large and small businesss in the categories below. The IMPACT Business of the Year awards will be selected from the eight category recipients. The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce is looking for ideal nominees that exhibit success in one or more of the following areas:

• Community Champion – A business focusing on local community involvement, volunteerism, and a dynamic company culture that fosters employee growth and development.
• Economic Driver – A business or organization substantially contributing to the economic vitality of the Greater Phoenix community by creating new jobs and opportunities, advancing a new industry or revitalizing a business sector or neighborhood.  
• Entrepreneurial Excellence – A business exemplifying the spirit of entrepreneurialism; this business invests in the Valley and adds to the Greater Phoenix community.  A business that has identified opportunities or unmet needs and, as a result, has taken risks, created value, initiated changes, or innovative solutions. 
• Response to Adversity – A business that faced significant challenges and was able to respond and rebound in order to build a stronger, more sustainable company.
• IMPACT Business of the Year – Selected from the category award recipients and announced at the event.  A business that has achieved remarkable results and accomplishments within their business and has moved their company and the local economy forward, exemplifies excellent corporate citizenship by giving back to our local community and possesses a corporate culture that enhances the lives of its employees.

TIME REQUIREMENTS

• February 28 & 29, 2012 – Selection Panel Interviews
• March 21, 2012 – IMPACT Finalist meet & greet. A group photo will be taken
• Half day video shoot at your business location, scheduled with video production company for a date in late March.
• May 17, 2012 – Impact Awards Luncheon
• Possible requests for interviews from media

BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS FOR ELIGIBILITY

• Must be a member in good standing of the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce or affiliate chambers. (Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce at South Mountain-Laveen, Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce at Anthem-North Gateway or Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce at Deer Valley)
• Must be headquartered in or have a major presence in Arizona 
• Must be able to meet time commitments (detailed above)
• Honorees must support the IMPACT Awards event as table host (minimum of one table) 

Nomination Deadline is 5pm on Wednesday, January 19, 2012.

Once the nomination form is submitted, the nominee/nominator will receive an IMPACT Awards application from the Greater Phoenix Chamber to complete and submit by Monday, January 30, 2012.
