From the Desk of Todd Sanders

Another holiday season is behind us and another new year stretches out in front of us. The arrival of 2011 means it’s back to work for all of us. Our economic recovery is slow, but steady and inevitable.
Our more than 2,900 members are working hard and so are we. Here at the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, we’ve just wrapped up a year in which we:
- Welcomed 510 new members despite a challenging economy. We thank all of you who have seen the value of Chamber membership.
- Recognized the best in local business through our IMPACT and ATHENA Awards. Our 2010 recipients are an inspiration to us all.
- Welcomed a variety of speakers, from American Public Media’s Kai Ryssdal to former White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove, in our Phoenix Forum series.
- Presented real nuts-and-bolts business information and advice through our Back to Business series, Professional Women’s Roundtable and Bridging the Gap luncheons.
- Helped elect pro-business candidates to local and state offices and advocated for ballot initiatives to make it easier to do business in Arizona.
- Successfully transitioned from a static, printed monthly business magazine to a dynamic, multimedia-rich online method of bringing you the latest Chamber news and business information.
And our work continues. This year, we’ll continue to be your best resource for growing your business, networking, professional development, legislative advocacy and saving money. We’ll be unveiling some exciting new initiatives while we continue to keep you connected, informed and prosperous.
On behalf of all of us here at the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, let me extend our best wishes for a safe and successful 2011 for you all.
Sincerely,![]()
