The South Mountain/Laveen Chamber of Commerce brings together individuals who are passionate about preserving the area’s rich history and supporting the diverse cultures that make the South Mountain and Laveen villages such vibrant areas.

Rapid growth in the South Mountain and Laveen villages has brought a mix of new and established opportunities for businesses. Each new commercial or residential development built within the shadows of South Mountain is a prime illustration of what many people in our communities have known for years: the South Mountain and Laveen villages are on the rise and exploding with fresh opportunities.

This vision was validated when, in a speech to South Mountain Village residents in April 2005, Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon tabbed the area from 32nd Street to 51st Avenue and from Southern Avenue to Dobbins Road an “Opportunity Corridor,” calling it “one of the hottest areas for job growth and quality-of-life growth.”

Today, at nearly every major intersection along Baseline Road, Southern Ave and Broadway Rd, commercial developments are projected or currently under construction. Business is booming and new conveniences seem to be arriving each day.

At the South Mountain/Laveen Chamber of Commerce, we want to bring a variety of businesses to the South Mountain area and develop a self-sustaining community that showcases the abilities of our local residents. In addition, we strive to promote a variety of resources and support for the established, older business that have served the communities of South Mountain, South Phoenix and Laveen for many years.
